C0

This is the very early stage of tooth decay, with a demineralisation of the surface of the tooth. Possible treatment options that may be suitable to remineralise the teeth include: professional fluoride varnish application, fissure sealants, or using fluoridated toothpaste.
Follow up without scraping.

C1

This is the initial stage of tooth decay.
Removal of the tooth decay can be done with or without anaesthesia to remove the area of decay. Treatment may consist of placing aesthetically pleasing white composite filling over.

C2

This is the middle stage of tooth decay.
The area of decay has to be removed in a similar way to the previous step, but a larger area may be involved.
If the damaged area is large, a stronger restoration may be required which may consist of fabrication of dental inlays, onlays, or crowns.

C3

It is the late stage of tooth decay.
Since caries are progressing to the nerve, it is crucial to remove infected nerves and clean the inside of the roots of the tooth.
The number of treatments will be increased compared to the state of tooth decay shown above.

C4

Most of the tooth (crown) parts are not left.
Pus may form at the tip of the tooth root.
Although it may be cured after underlying treatment, sometimes you have to remove your tooth.

Periodontics

Our clinic are proactively treating periodontal disease.

There is no pain at the beginning of periodontal disease, but as it progresses, the bones that support the tooth melt and the tooth became loosen, and eventually the tooth comes out. Scaling and Root Planning

Application of fluoride (fluorine coating)

We are using medicine that containing high concentration of fluoride.
It is placed on the foam tray and held on the tooth for a few minutes, or it coats on the outside of the tooth surface.

Pit and fissure sealant (sealant)

It is a material that covering the grooves of the tooth, the possibility of caries at the top of the tooth may decreases.
Usually done after the eruption of the first molar at 6 years old.

Mouth/night guard

• The mouth guard reduces the pressure on the upper and lower jaws during bruxism.
• It is suitable for those who unintentionally do bruxism at night.
• Providing a protective barrier on the tooth helps reduce the possibility of tooth damage.

Child Dentistry
